The Great Commission is not a calling for a few. It is the assignment of the Church.

The Givers

Fueling the Mission Through Generosity

Every great mission requires people who are willing to invest in something bigger than themselves.

Givers understand that generosity is far more than making a donation—it’s an act of worship. They recognize that every resource God has entrusted to them can become a tool for advancing His Kingdom and bringing the hope of Jesus to those who have never heard the Gospel.

They don’t simply fund the mission.

They become part of it.

Who Are the Givers?

Givers are faithful stewards who joyfully invest their finances, businesses, talents, resources, and influence into God’s mission. They understand that while they may never travel to every nation, their generosity can help send those who do.

Rather than asking, “How much should I give?” Givers ask, “How can everything God has entrusted to me make the greatest Kingdom impact?”

Their generosity creates opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t exist.

Why Givers Matter

Throughout Scripture, God has used generous people to accomplish extraordinary things. From the construction of the tabernacle to the support of the early Church, God’s work has always advanced through believers who willingly placed His mission above personal comfort.

The same is true today.

Missionaries are sent because someone gives.

Churches are equipped because someone gives.

Resources are developed because someone gives.

Children hear about Jesus because someone gives.

Generosity doesn’t simply support ministry, it multiplies ministry.

What Do Givers Do?

Givers help remove barriers that keep the Gospel from reaching the nations.

They may:

  • Support missionaries and mission teams
  • Fund church planting efforts
  • Provide resources for training and discipleship
  • Invest in Bible translation projects
  • Support humanitarian and community development initiatives
  • Help churches expand their missions efforts
  • Sponsor outreach events and ministry opportunities
  • Give professional skills, equipment, or business resources
  • Encourage a culture of generosity within the Church

Every gift—large or small—becomes part of God’s work in the world.

The Heart of a Giver

Givers understand that everything belongs to God.

Their joy isn’t found in accumulating more. It’s found in seeing more lives transformed through the Gospel.

They celebrate every church planted, every missionary sent, every Bible translated, and every person who encounters Jesus because they know their generosity helped make it possible.

They don’t give out of obligation.

They give out of gratitude.

How Givers Strengthen the Ecosystem

Generosity fuels every part of the 5G Ecosystem.

It provides Goers with the resources they need to serve.

It equips Gatherers to mobilize churches and train leaders.

It helps Greeters create welcoming environments where disciples can grow.

It strengthens Groaners through prayer initiatives, communication, and missions awareness.

Givers may not always be the most visible part of the mission, but their faithfulness creates opportunities for every other G to flourish.

Their investment becomes someone else’s ministry.

  • Helping others accomplish their calling
  • Practicing faithful stewardship
  • Using your business or professional skills to serve others
  • Finding creative ways to resource ministry
  • Giving generously with joy
  • Seeing your resources make an eternal impact

If you find yourself asking how God can use what He’s entrusted to you to reach more people with the Gospel, He may have uniquely gifted you as a Giver.

The Great Commission moves forward because faithful people choose to invest in what matters most.

Your generosity can help equip churches, mobilize believers, develop resources, support missionaries, and bring the hope of Jesus to communities that have never heard His name.

When you give to God’s mission, you’re not simply making a contribution.

You’re helping write the next chapter of the Great Commission.

Perhaps that’s your G.
